'Moss Garden' _ new video work shown at Yard Gallery

BLACK BOX GARDEN

Black Box Garden is an art project by Camilla Berner, that takes place right now at Krøyers Plads, a wasteland site situated in central Copenhagen. The site has not been used since 2004. Since end of April this year Berner has worked with creating a garden on the site, made out of existing vegetation and materials found on the site. Everyday she does a couple of hous work in the garden and afterwards writes about the experiences and the day's work in a diary. The diary is published on a blog hosted by the public art organisation Publik. Through humble interventions on the site Berner investigates the place as a public space and the use of it untill a building process will start. Berner maps out as well the diversity of the plant species growing on the most expensive wasteland site in Copenhagen right now, as well as observes the many interests involved in this particular place.
